🏀 How to Play 🏀

Master your skills and conquer the court with these tips!

To begin, select a game mode from the main menu. You will be prompted to choose your team and the computer's team. Select from a list of real NBA teams or choose 'Random Team' for both user and computer for an unpredictable game. Confirm your selections to initiate the game.

Optimize your offense by adjusting the following settings:

Play Calling Frequency:
  • Run More Plays: Focus on structured plays to create scoring opportunities.
  • Run More Freelance: Let players decide the play based on the game's flow.
  • Default Frequency: Balance between structured plays and freelance actions.
Tempo:
  • Push The Pace: Increase the game speed to catch the defense off guard.
  • Play Slow: Slow down the game to control the tempo and reduce turnovers.
  • Default Tempo: Maintain a standard pace of play.
Offensive Rebounding Strategy:
  • Crash: Send more players to grab offensive rebounds.
  • Get Back: Prioritize getting back on defense to prevent fast breaks.
  • Default: A balanced approach between crashing the boards and getting back.
Offensive Focus:
  • Target Mismatches: Exploit favorable matchups on the court.
  • Feed The Hot Hand: Distribute the ball to the player who is currently shooting well.
  • No Focus: Spread out offensive efforts equally among players.

Strengthen your defense by configuring the following options:

Ball Pressure Strategy:
  • Gap: Give the offensive player more space to encourage outside shots.
  • Smother: Apply intense pressure to disrupt the offensive player's rhythm.
  • Tight: Stick close to the offensive player without overcommitting.
  • Default Pressure: Apply standard defensive pressure.
Interior Help Frequency:
  • Heavy Help: Provide significant assistance to teammates defending the paint.
  • Less Help: Offer minimal assistance to allow for better perimeter defense.
  • Default Interior Help: Balance between helping in the paint and guarding the perimeter.
Pick And Roll On Ball Strategy:
  • Go Over On Screens: Navigate over screens to prevent three-point shots.
  • Go Under On Screens: Move under screens to prevent penetration.
  • Switch On Screens: Switch defenders to maintain tight coverage.
  • Default P&R Defense: Use a standard approach to pick and roll situations.
Pick And Roll Hedge Strategy:
  • Drop Coverage On Screens: The defender drops back to protect the rim.
  • Soft Hedge On Screens: The defender briefly steps out to disrupt the ball handler.
  • Hard Hedge On Screens: The defender aggressively confronts the ball handler.
  • Default P&R Defense: Standard handling of pick and roll situations.
Defensive Focus Player:Select a specific opponent's player to focus your defensive efforts on, aiming to limit their impact on the game. If 'No Focus Player' is selected, your team will apply general defensive principles without targeting a specific player.
